What we collect and why
When you ask for a quote or contact us
The quote form on this website does not store anything on our website. When you send it, it opens your own email app with your details filled in, and you choose whether to send the email to us. We receive what you include: usually your name, phone number, email address, area, a description of your furniture and any photos you attach. We also receive the details you give us when you phone, text or call in to the showroom.
We use this to reply to you, prepare a quote, arrange collection and delivery, and carry out the work. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
Customer records
If you go ahead with a job, we keep records such as your contact details, the work done, invoices and payments. We do this to meet our legal obligations, including tax law (Article 6(1)(c)), and to handle guarantee claims (our legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f)).
Website analytics
Only if you click Accept on our cookie notice, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: for example, which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and what device they use. This does not tell us who you are. Our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Google Maps
The map on our website only loads if you click Show map. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers who help us run the business:
- Google (Google Workspace email, and Google Analytics if you accept it)
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this website and keeps short-term technical logs such as IP addresses to keep it secure and running
- Our accountant, and authorities such as Revenue where the law requires it
Google and Vercel are based in the United States. Transfers to them are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Quote enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted
- Customer and job records: 6 years after the job, as Irish tax law requires
- Google Analytics data: no longer than 14 months
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy to take elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, at www.dataprotection.ie. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
